A New Year for More Maganda Moments- A look back on 2015

Just before the countdown to 2016 began, I had several things go flooding through my mind. Mostly about how great 2015 was and the adventures that were had that are now “old news”. I thought about how blessed I am to have the Husband/Family that I do and friends who actually are true. I began to quickly go down my list and thank God for everything He’s provided me with. For a fleeting second, I found myself sad to see 2015 go because of all the memories I hold so close.

You see, 2015 didn’t just hold my sweet Grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary and precious family memories that always accumulate every year, it was yet another year of growing closer to Conrad and realizing what we want for our future. It was also a year of putting myself out there, taking pictures for “strangers”. It was after several requests, e-mails, and messages we started Maganda’s Facebook page last March. We went from being asked by our family and friends to take their pictures to being asked from “friends of friends” and even complete strangers reaching out to be in front of our lenses. It was my first year of submitting over 10,000 images to the copyright office.

Conrad and I have made so many memories with you all. And, in turn, we have been included in some of your MOST IMPORTANT memories in life. Our couples who started as just engagements – we’ve walked with them down the aisle and been there in their most intimate moments. All the seasons of life, we’re just so thankful to have shared them with you and are looking forward to those new seasons. To the weddings we have coming up in 2016, the Brides that we’ve shot who will call asking for pregnancy announcements, to the birth stories we have coming up, there is just so much anticipation for 2016.

Your “Beautiful Moments” mean so much to me and MY heart is much fuller because of them. I look forward to walking through more life events with each and every one of you guys because the truth is, you aren’t people to take pictures of, you are dear friends to me. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives. Let’s see what 2016 has in store!

The Carrolls | Tree Farm Mini

The Carroll family is such a pleasure to be around. They were TONS of fun and the perfect way to end our year filled with photo sessions! We had so much fun being around them (not to mention their pictures are breathtaking). Let’s also talk about that stellar milk truck and how perfectly it fit into our session! We are just blessed to be able to call them close family friends. Here are our favorites of Brandon, Rachael, Grace, and Tyler……IMG_1.01branded

The Fields

These two are very near and dear to our hearts. Tausha is my oldest and dearest friend. Through all the years and growing apart for a few, I’ve realized just how important she is to me and kindred spirits just can’t be separated. Being that it’s almost their three year anniversary, we needed to get some updated pictures before they head back out to Trinidad. We were also able to shoot these at Maple Lane Farm and had a beautiful day for it. The love between Kevin and Tausha is just as beautiful as these pictures. Here are a few of my favorites from their session……IMG_1400.01edit

The Barron Family

These three are a part of our wonderful church family. We met up at Maple Lane Farm to get a few family pictures just in time for Christmas. We had a beautiful day and ended up with some beautiful pictures. Here are a few of our favorites from Josh, Terri, and Anthony’s session…….IMG_7.01bfranded

Mr. & Mrs. Brooks| October 3, 2015

The Brooks’ Fall Classic Wedding was a home run hit! We’ve had the privilege of getting to know these two over this year. We shot Craig & Kaitlan at Hunter Wright Stadium for their engagement pictures. On October 3rd, they were married on that field, too! These two share the passion of softball and incorporated that passion into their themed wedding. We dodged clouds and rain all day, but that didn’t impact the amount of love and memories that were made. Here are a few of our favorites from their wedding day…..

Mr. & Mrs. Reburn | September 19, 2015

Rob & Katie first contacted us for their engagement session earlier in the year. It was easy to tell just how much they loved each other …then. When we booked their wedding we knew just how awesome working with them was going to be. We were honored to be by their sides throughout the entirely of their wedding day.I go back to my earlier statement “it was easy to tell just how much they loved each other then.” Wedding day put a magnifying glass to just that- from a surprise marquee to beautiful pre-ceremony letters. We had the most gorgeous first look we’ve ever shot. Wedding day went beautifully (aside from intense ceremony sun). We loved being a part of this monumental time in both of their lives. We are so thankful to have met them and to call them friends. We wish you a lifetime of happiness! Here are just a few of our favorites from their day. Until the next shoot…..C&B
